NONESCOST-Herbanext partnership for IP farming communities in Don Salvador Benedicto

The Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology (NONESCOST) in partnership with Herbanext will soon be working with 3 IP farming communities in Don Salvador Benedicto for the production of medicinal herbs.

Funded under the Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST) Program of DOST 6, Herbanext will be supplying the communities with planting materials of selected medicinal herbs proven to be safe and effective under the DOST-PCHRD Tuklas Lunas Program.

Herbanext will be purchasing back the herbs while NONESCOST will assist the farmers on the cultivation techniques and on the post-harvest processing. Among the plants that will be cultivated are Serpentina, Takip kuhol, and Balbas pusa.
