Herbanext second batch of hybrid pharmacy interns from Riverside College and UNO-R end their internship with a field trip at The Quiet Place Farm Resort where we have a collection of over 200 medicinal plants. Students get to feel, smell, taste, and discover many different medicinal herbs… including is-is (sandpaper fig), damong maria (mugwort), kalingag (Philippine cinnamon), limoncito (limeberry), kabuyaw (kaffir lime), balbas bariko (gac fruit), karipata (curry tree), and many more. Always the winner for the worst tasting herb hands down is serpentina (king of bitters), while the best is stevia wrapped in mint leaves.
