carcity of Ganoderma and its huge demand made it more valuable during the ancient times. It is said that Ganoderma delicacies are only served in palaces as its whereabouts where keep in secrets and in whisper tones. It was recorded that there was a time when thousand of farmers and villagers were forced by the government to search, gather and present Ganoderma back to the palace for the Emperor’s consumption. Many of these people left their job and went into the mountains, cliffs, remote valleys, and wilderness to search for this elusive herb.
